01Information we collect
Business & partner information
- Contact details such as name, company, email, and phone number.
- Information about your publications, traffic, ad setup, and the inquiries or agreements we discuss.
Information collected automatically from end users
When you visit a property where our technology operates, we and our partners may automatically collect:
- Device and browser type, operating system, language, and screen attributes.
- IP address and approximate (non-precise) location derived from it.
- Online identifiers, including cookie IDs and advertising/device identifiers.
- Engagement and behavioral data such as pages viewed, time-on-site, scroll depth, clicks, referring URLs, and content taxonomies.
- Ad interaction and measurement data, including impressions, clicks, and conversions.
02How we use information
- To operate, analyze, and improve our owned-and-operated properties and content.
- To optimize user engagement through A/B and multi-arm bandit testing.
- To select, deliver, measure, and optimize advertising across native, social, and programmatic networks.
- To manage ad campaigns, adjust bids, and report performance.
- To develop and improve our ad-tech and publishing technologies.
- To respond to partner and publisher inquiries and manage relationships.
- To detect fraud, secure our systems, and comply with legal obligations.
03Cookies & tracking technologies
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies to run the Services, remember preferences, measure performance, and support advertising. These technologies fall broadly into essential, analytics, and advertising categories.
04Advertising & programmatic data
Our core technology supports interest-based (personalized) advertising. To do this, identifiers and engagement data may be processed by advertising partners — including demand-side and supply-side platforms, ad exchanges, and measurement providers — sometimes through real-time bidding. These partners may combine the data they receive with information from other sources, subject to their own privacy policies.
This processing helps us and advertisers show more relevant ads, limit repetition, and measure campaign performance.
05How we share information
- Advertising partners — networks, exchanges, DSPs/SSPs, and measurement vendors involved in delivering and measuring ads.
- Service providers — hosting, analytics, security, and infrastructure vendors that process data on our behalf under contract.
- Legal & safety — when required by law or legal process, or to protect rights, safety, property, and against fraud.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
06Your choices & ad opt-outs
- Adjust cookie and privacy settings in your browser, and reset or limit your mobile advertising identifier in your device settings.
- Opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through industry tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info / youradchoices.com).
- Use a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we treat as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing where applicable.
Opting out does not eliminate ads; it limits personalization.
07California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, access, correct, and delete the personal information we hold, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
We collect the categories of personal information described in Section 1 (identifiers, internet/network activity, approximate geolocation, and inferences) for the advertising and analytics purposes described above. To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, you can use a GPC signal or contact us using the details below, or use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control where provided on our properties.
08Other US states & international
Residents of other US states with privacy laws may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
09Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including operating the Services, measuring advertising, meeting legal and accounting obligations, and resolving disputes. Advertising identifiers and event data are typically retained for limited periods and then deleted or aggregated/anonymized.
10Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11Children’s privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or knowingly serve them interest-based advertising. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
